What We Do - NCADD Sacramento

Treatment and Prevention: We provide strategically targeted direct services that use, test, track and evaluate best practices effectively. Programs include: Alternatives to Incarceration, Families Living Well, CalWorks, Drug Diversion Program, Stay Clean! Project, and Recovery High School.

Professional Trainings:  We offer trainings to the "first responder" professionals (treatment providers, primary care doctors, school counselors and others) who are often the first ones to see the signs of disease in the alcoholic or addict or their family, friends or employers. Includes Workshops and Conferences with CEU credits available.

Information and Referrals:  Confidential one on one referrals - speak privately to one of our caring and knowledgeable staff members, to find the appropriate referrals needed. (916) 922-9217 ex. 6. Monday through Friday, between the hours of 9:00 am and 6:00 pm..

Education, Organizing and Outreach:  We conduct community outreach and education activities, and support grassroots activism that empowers people to get more involved. Includes: Alumni Groups, Coalition Activities, and Public Events.

To fulfill our mission, NCADD Sacramento takes a holistic approach to the issues of addiction and recovery, understanding that different members of the community can get involved in different ways.

The addict facing jail time unless they stay clean and sober needs a tough, high quality alternative-to-incarceration treatment program; while the ten year old who sees ads on the internet making alcohol look "cool" needs a best practice prevention program. The primary care doctor who might be the first "gatekeeper" to notice a potential problem needs education and training on substance abuse topics; while family members, employers, and concerned community members need information on where to go for help.

Everyone deserves the opportunity to know how they can get more involved and make a difference!
